Errors that are introduced
in the design phase, such as incorrect material selection or unfavorable
gas channel design, are usually identified during processing and can only
be eliminated at great expense by tooling or design changes. It is important
to know which problems are processing and which are design related in gas-assist
injection molding. Only then, can issues be accurately addressed.
To assist you in the
troubleshooting process, there are seven links found on the left-hand menu
below "Troubleshooting" that describe a few common problems. When
you click on the different troubleshooting categories, there is a link to
a page that lists the problem and symptoms. To navigate between the problem
and solution pages, click on the button at the bottom of each of those pages.
