Gas injection through the machine nozzle utilizes the injection molding machine nozzle. Here, the gate and the gas injection point are at the same location. Gas injection nozzles are available from a number of suppliers and can be installed on standard injection molding machines. This method is not recommended for hot runner systems because gas will displace plastic volume in the hot runner manifold and lead to inconsistent shot sizes.
